Hey guys! Welcome back to yet another blog post! I am sorry that I have been MIA for a while now. I hope you're all doing well and are killin' it as always! :D

So for today's blog post, I have decided to give you guys an update on where I am with my Keto journey as of now and how my body has been coping with all the changes in my diet. For those of you who are new or are unaware, I have been following a Keto-based diet since November, 2017. It's been quite a ride to be honest! And mostly a good one! I have never been able to stick to a diet and I usually find diets too restrictive and cumbersome to follow. When I came across the Keto diet, I was quite fascinated by the theory behind this diet. Making Fats a major portion of your food and calorie intake is something we all have always shirked from. And suddenly, to do the exact opposite was quite scary. There were and still are a lot of questions surrounding this diet and that made it all the more intimidating.

I decided to try this diet out for 3 weeks and to see if it had any positive impact on my body. I lost around 1.5 Kilograms in the very first week and another 1.5 Kilograms in the next week. I was obviously quite ecstatic because I had never lost weight so easily and quickly (and without starving myself!) It also helped me in clearing out my acne marks, reduced a lot of digestive issues like indigestion and bloatedness and made me feel more energetic and positive, which I know sounds quite strange, but it did! When you feel good inside, it always has an impact on how you feel and look on the outside. And that's precisely what the Keto diet has helped me with.

I obviously have small periods of time when I am off Keto especially if I am travelling. Currently I have been off Keto since the past 10 days and have been having a lot of Carbs and Junk food. Going off Keto is especially difficult for me because when I have food rich in Carbs, I usually feel hungry quicker and need to eat once every two hours. On a Keto diet, I rarely need to snack that often and can go for 5 hours or more without having to eat anything. This constant need for snacking usually makes me eat all kinds of crap which further messes my digestive system. I also have lesser stamina and feel exhausted after a normal day. I have also gained a little weight (maybe around a KG or so) .

The popular misconception that you're going to gain A LOT OF weight if you stop following the Keto diet is not true. If you go to the Gym regularly, you're obviously going to be toned and lean. If you stop going to the gym, you gradually gain weight if you don't watch what you eat. It's the same way with Keto. If you follow a diet which has relatively less carbs, you might be able to maintain your weight.

I personally find Keto extremely beneficial and will be soon re-starting it. Let me know if you follow it too and what has your journey been! Or if you follow a different diet, how's that working out for you! And as always don't forget to Subscribe if you haven't already and give this post a huge thumbs up if you liked this post! I will see you guys soon in my next post! Keep Shining! :D
