Hey guys! Welcome back to yet another blog post! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend and are ready for the week!

I did mean to post this blog up over the Weekend so that you guys could maybe try it out over the weekend, but I ended up procrastinating a whole lot and couldn't actually post it up. But well, better late than never!

So for today's blog, I am going to be sharing the recipe for one of my most favourite things on the planet - Mutton Biryani! It's not only going to be incredibly delicious, it's also going to be absolutely Keto friendly! So let's jump right into it!

For the marination, you're going to need:

  • 500 grams of curry-cut Mutton

  • 3-4 Tbsps of Curd

  • The juice of 1 lemon

  • 1-2 tsp of Chili Powder, Garam Masala, Turmeric Powder, Cumin Powder, Biryani Powder and Meat Powder

  • Salt as per taste

  • 2 Tbsps of Ginger Garlic Paste

  • Handful of Mint Leaves

  • Whole spices like a Bay leaf, some elaichi, Pepper corns and a Star Anise.

  • 2 Tbsps of Ghee

Marinate the Mutton overnight.

For making the Mutton Gravy:

  • In a Pressure Cooker, heat up 2 Tbsps of Ghee.

  • Add in some Elaichi and Bay leaves

  • Add in a Chopped Onion and fry till it caramelises a bit.

  • Add in a Chopped Tomato and fry till the Tomato has cooked a little.

  • Add in the Mutton and cook for an hour or 45 minutes on a medium flame till the Mutton has softened a little.

  • Add some water if the Mutton appears too dry.

  • After the Mutton has been cooking away for atleast 50 minutes, set the lid on and and let it whistle once on high flame and twice on Medium flame. Open the lid and your Mutton should be ready!

  • In a Kadhai, heat up 1 Tbsp of Ghee.

  • Add in the Mutton Gravy to it.

  • Add in two Grated Cauliflowers to the pan and layer it above the Mutton Curry. Add in some Biryani Powder on top.

  • Cover the Kadhai with a lid, and cook for 15 minutes on low to medium flame.

And tadaaa! Your Keto friendly Mutton Biryani is now ready! :D

Mix the Mutton and the Cauliflower rice well and serve it with some Yogurt/Raita!

And there you have it! An absolutely Keto friendly, delicious and healthy alternative to your favorite Biryani! You can easily replace the Mutton in the dish with any meat of your choice! Or you can just add in some Veggies and make a traditional Pulao! It's really up to you! :D

So that's it for today's blog guys! I hope you enjoyed the post! I certainly enjoyed making and devouring it! :P Do let me know if you make it and as always don't forget to like and subscribe if you haven't already, and I will see you soon in my next post! Keep Shining! :D
